Fixing A Leaky Toilet Tank

Fixing a leaky toilet can be done just by yourself. Just follow these 9 simple and easy steps.

Step 1: Turn off the water at the shutoff valve below the tank.

Step 2: Completely drain the tank.

Step 3: You need to hold the tank bolt nuts.

Step 4: Using a screwdriver loosen the tank bolt.

Step 5: After loosen the tank bolt you need to remove the tank from the bowl as well as the used old spud washer.

Step 6: Replace the old spud washer with a new one.

Step 7: Using a wire brush clean around the holes on the tank after removing the bolts and the gaskets.

Step 8: Firmly place the new gasket onto each bolt. Insert each bolt through the holes of the tank and re install the nuts.

Step 9: Replace the tank on the bowl.
